Ghanta Ravi's big screen dream
Ghanta Ravi, son of Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Ghanta Srinivasa Rao, is gearing up for the release of his debut Jayadev. Directed by Jayanth C. Paranjee, the film completed its shooting and is now in the post-production stage. Ravi has chosen a cop related subject as his launch project because he has tremendous respect for the police. “After I heard many narrations, I finally decided to choose this film because it’s the story of a sincere cop. I have immense respect for the police. They are the real heroes as they sacrifice everything when it comes to duty,” says Ravi. He added that he too actually wants to become a police officer. “I had the passion to become a police officer, but destiny took its own course. I chose acting as my profession and I am happy that in my debut, I am playing a cop — something I couldn’t do in real life,” he says.
Many top actors in Tollywood have played the role of a cop and Ravi too is confident about his debut. “The character is of an emotional cop who is bound to do his duty and also looks after his family,” says Ravi.
Interestingly, director Jayanth C. Paranjee had introduced Prabhas with the film Eswar and now has taken the responsibility of Ravi’s introduction too. “It’s always a pleasure to work with a senior director like Jayanth,” says Ravi. For this role, Ravi lost weight and got trained to mould his body too.
