Telugu version of Queen put on hold

After director Neelakanta walked away from helming the Telugu version of Queen, the project has been put on the backburner.

While the South remakes of Bollywood film Queen took off simultaneously, the Telugu version has hit a roadblock after director Neelakanta walked off from the project mid-way due to creative differences with Tamannaah. He is now only helming the Malayalam version.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Aravind, who is helming the Kannada and Tamil versions was asked to take over the Telugu version too. However, the Telugu version has been put on hold for some time as Ramesh is busy wrapping up the Kannada and Tamil versions and can only start shooting for the Telugu version later.

A source in the know says, “Director Ramesh Aravind will shoot the Telugu version after he wraps up the Kannada and Tamil versions of Queen, which have been progressing briskly. Even the Malayalam version is close to being wrapped up.”
