“Rajamouli garu is a top director, but he is always down-to-earth. He narrated the story to me and all the other technicians too. It’s going to be a grand visual treat,” adds Danayya, whose other big project, Bharat Ane Nenu is all set to hit the screens this Friday.

“My wish was to make a film with Mahesh Babu and I was asking him for many years. Finally, director Koratala Siva came up with this subject and Mahesh accepted immediately, making my wish come true,” he reveals.

Recalling his early days, the producer says, “My first film was Jambalakadi Pamba directed by late E.V.V. Satyanarayana. Although we started production as a group, I became a solo producer with the film Desamuduru.”

Hailing from West Godavari district, Danayya says that he was attracted to films because of the many film shootings in his village. “Krishna garu was shooting for his film Paadi Pantalu and I went to see the shooting. A huge crowd had gathered and was turning uncontrollable, at which point, Krishna garu asked them to keep calm if he had to continue shooting. The crowd immediately sat calmly and that incident inspired me to travel to Chennai,” shares Danayya, who went on to work in the production teams of directors Jandhyala and E.V.V.

“I know E.V.V. since long and when he became director, I asked him to do Jambalakadi Pamba which went on to become a good hit,” says the producer, who has made films with nearly all the big stars like Pawan, Allu Arjun and Ravi Teja.
