Top director Koratala Siva’s name has cropped up in the news as part of Sri Reddy’s leaks. A chat with his name has also been circulating over the last few days, compelling the director to issue a clarification.
In a video message, the director asserted that he is completely against the casting couch and is shocked to see his name circulating.
“While I was travelling to Mumbai and Chennai, screenshots with my name started circulating on social media. Initially, I didn’t take it seriously because my friends told me that it is mere gossip. But since a lot of discussion is going on, I want to clarify things,” he said, adding, “I have always been against the casting couch. I have worked with a lot of actors and technicians. They all know how much I respect them.”
He expressed shock and ignorance at the turn of events. The director also stated that he supports the women’s movement and their fight for justice. Revealing that there are only two important women in his life, he said, “When I was a kid, I lost my father and my mother raised me. After she passed away, my wife is my support.”
The filmmaker also added that he didn’t want any negativity before his film’s release and hence, wanted to clarify matters.
