Testing waters!
Having worked as a supporting actor in several films, Rakesh Varre is trying his luck as a lead actor in his forthcoming film Evariki Cheppadu, which is set to release on March 22.
Apparently, the actor is also turning producer with this romantic entertainer, which has been directed by Basava Shanker Eeday. Rakesh, who entered the showbiz with Naga Chaitanya’s Josh in 2009, is confident about the script of his movie. “I have learnt a lot from working in films helmed by top filmmakers like Rajamouli, V.V. Vinayak, and Krish, among others.
When I heard the script of Evariki Cheppadu, I felt almost instantly that it is the ideal film for me to debut as a lead actor and as a producer, too.” Rakesh has studied filmmaking at the prestigious New York Film Academy.
“I shot for around 100 days for my role in Baahubali, which is when I closely observed Rajamouli’s style of filmmaking. While it inspired me a great deal, I realised that I had to attain greater command on the filmmaking process. It was then that I went to New York Film Academy to study filmmaking.”
