After the super success of Dirty Picture starring Vidya Balan, yet another dramatic portrayal of late yesteryear actress Silk Smitha is on the cards. According to sources, director Pa. Ranjith, who earlier worked on superstar Rajinikanth-starrers Kabali and Kaala, is now all set to direct and produce a web series on Silk Smitha along with a Mumbai-based production house.
Apparently, the makers feel that her childhood tales are fascinating and remain unexplored. Hence, the forthcoming web series will showcase Silk Smitha’s life from her childhood onwards.
A source informs, “The web series will be shot lavishly and aired across several episodes. Director Pa. Ranjith feels that his series will be true to Silk Smitha and bring out untold stories of her childhood. Further, he believes that her story has a pan-Indian appeal and hence, he’s doing a web series.”
