'Bro will be a good addition to my repertoire'

Ketika feels being part of the Pawan-Sai Dharam Tej-starrer is a blessing

Ketika Sharma’s upcoming film Bro, starring Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej, is nearing release. She says the Samuthirakani directorial has a strong message and that she has a performance-oriented role.

“I am paired with Sai Dharam Tej,” she says, adding that the Telugu version of the Tamil film Vinodhaya Sitham had been customised to suit the different audience. “Also, there was lesser scope for the female character to perform in the original, but in the Telugu version I had more screen time,” she reveals.
The actress said she couldn’t believe her luck when she got the opportunity to be part of Pawan Kalyan-starrer. “I had a fangirl moment,” she shares, adding that although she did not have any scenes with Pawan, she was still thrilled to be part of a great script.

“When Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga was in the last leg of shooting, Bro came my way. The script was fascinating and I didn’t want to lose out on the opportunity to be part of an ensemble cast,” she says. Sai Dharam Tej plays Mark, and Ketika plays his love interest.

“The racy screenplay makes the narrative more exciting,” she says.
Interestingly, Ketika earlier worked with Vaishnav Tej (Sai Dharam Tej’s younger brother) in Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga. She feels fortunate to have worked with the two brothers, though it was a coincidence. According to her, the two have contrasting personalities.

“Vaishnav was a little shy when we first met, but later we got comfortable and he was trying to pull my leg, Ketika says, adding, “Sai Dharam Tej is fun — he’s always laughing, and mingles with people quickly.”

The film’s director and producer Vishwa Prasad were very clear in their vision. Hence, they did take much time to shoot the film, says Ketika. “Bro has an underlying message and I believe the film and the role will add to my repertoire,” she sums up.
