It was earlier reported that Anu Emmanuel had almost been finalised to play the female lead in Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Naa Peru Surya, to be directed by writer-turned-director Vakkantham Vamsi. The news is now official and the actress is set to begin shooting for the patriotic drama from the first week of August with the rest of the cast and crew.
“The script work for the film has been completed. The team is now concentrating on finishing the casting and other activities before the film goes to sets. Anu is currently discussing her look for the film with the director. She will be seen in a completely new avatar,” reveals a source from the industry. The film will mark Vamsi’s directorial debut while Boman Irani will be seen in a pivotal role.
