Brahmotsavam to benefit from fifth show
The Telangana state government has allowed single screen theatres to screen five shows a day. And the first film to benefit will be Brahmotsavam.
Abhishek Pictures, which has brought the Nizam rights of the film, convinced the government to release the GO that will allow Brahmotsavam to be screened for five shows when it releases on May 20.
“To avoid black marketing and also given the fact that the government will get good revenues from the extra show, we requested the government to grant the fifth show,” says Abhishek Nama of Abhishek Pictures.
Earlier, a big star’s film would be screened early in the morning on its release day and the ticket prices would range from Rs 500 to Rs 2,000. There were reports that Baahubali’s tickets had sold in the black market for more than Rs 1,000. Thus the Home Department had decided not to give permission for benefit shows. That’s why there were no benefit shows for Sarrainodu.
Abhishek says that tickets can be brought at the theatres or online. “There is no hike in the ticket price and this is the best chance for fans to see their favourite star’s film at the regular ticket price,” adds Abhishek.
Brahmotsavam is releasing in more than 400 single screens in the Nizam area, morning shows in these theatres will start at 8.10 am.
