While director Konda Vijay Kumar has already made a couple of romantic entertainers, he says his upcoming film, Orey Bujjiga, is a romantic comedy with a difference.
“The film is a quirky entertainer with elements of comedy, drama and love,” explains, Vijay Kumar, adding that the film will be in complete contrast to his earlier rom-coms.
“In my previous films Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde and Oka Laila Kosam, the feel good factor dominated the content; but in Orey Bujjiga, it’s the entertainment quotient, the situational comedy coupled with dry humour, that will hog the limelight. I think that’s something audiences would want to watch, rather slapstick comedy,” he says, adding that the antics of the lead pair will be the highlight.
“When we love someone, we only love their positives; later, compatibility issues arise. But my film shows that when we love someone, we have to love their negative qualities too,” explains Vijay.
Starring Raj Tarun and Malavika Nair, the K. K. Radhamohan production is slated for release on March 25. Even though the theatres are shut due to the coronavirus outbreak, Vijay is optimistic that the film will be released as scheduled.
“As much as we respect the reasons, we are also hoping that the situation will improve. However, our decision will totally depend on government directives,” Vijay stresses.
