Will it be the coronavirus which plays the villain this time in the release of the much-delayed RRR?

Sources say the film directed by Rajamouli may not be able to meet the January 10, 2021 release date due to the current shutdown of all entertainment-related activities in the country.

“After so many delays and postponements, the producers and director Rajamouli had zeroed in on January 10 as the ‘final’ date of release. They never expected that the corona scare would play havoc with their plans,” says a source in the know.

Apparently a long schedule was planned in Hyderabad with the two heroes, Ram Charan and Jr NTR  and Alia Bhatt was expected to join them. But now, the schedule stands cancelled.

Sources say it will be very difficult to get Alia’s dates again as she’s committed to her project with Sanjay Bhansali in the later part of the year.

We can only hope that the film finds its way out of the current imbroglio. Earlier, the shooting was hit when Ram Charan injured himself and again, when the British actress Daisy Edgar Jones walked out of the beleaguered film.
