Raai Laxmi’s attempt to make a comeback in Telugu cinema with the film Where is Venkata Lakshmi?, which released on Friday, has turned out an utter failure. Directed by Kishore, this film, which is touted to be a horror comedy, has neither any worthwhile comedy nor has any horror elements in it. Only failed attempts, sadly.
Personally, for Raai Laxmi, this has been a disappointing comeback. Although the actress plays the titular role in the movie, she appears much later in the film. In fact, Praveen and Madhu Nandam, the two comedians, have a bigger role in the film. Except their comedy is pretty outdated.

Poojitha Ponnada is actually the female lead in the movie, and unfortunately, the makers of the film were banking on Raai Laxmi’s glamour to do the trick, it did not work out their way. The film is mostly in the news thanks to Raai Laxmi’s popularity.
Without a proper storyline and engaging content, one cannot simply expect glamour to do the trick, but the director has clearly done a terrible job at designing her character.
