Actor Sumanth’s comeback film Naruda Donoruda didn’t do well at the box-office, even though it was a remake of Hindi hit film, Vicky Donor. Unfazed by that flop, Sumanth has gone ahead and signed another film with a debutant director, Gautam. The film was officially launched at an elaborate ceremony in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Gautam had earlier worked in a software company, but was always interested in films. So, he prepared a script and met Rahul, the son-in-law of politician Chinna Srisailam Yadav, after which they decided to work together. “I prepared a short video about my film and showed it to my friends. Someone sent it to Sumanth, who liked it and asked me to come and meet him. I narrated the subject and he agreed to do the film. That’s how the film shaped up,” shares Gautam. Shooting for the film, a romance drama will start from March end.
After working with popular television actress Pallavi Subhash, Sumanth will now team up with Akanksha Singh, another well-known name on TV. She’s recognised for her work in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha and Gulmohar Grand and has also played a role in the recent Hindi film, Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
