Dora is an original script

Doss Ramasamy is relieved at the confirmation by the South Indian Film Writers Association.

Recently, the claims of Sridhar, a Chennai-based writer, that the script of actress Nayanthara’s upcoming film Dora is a rip off from his script Alibabavum Arputha Carum, caused quite a stir in film circles, considering it was likely to dampen the film’s name just a few days prior to its release on March 31.

In a bid to save their reputation, the makers of the film approached the South Indian Writers Association to look into the issue. Doss Ramasamy, who has written and directed the film, heaved a sigh of relief when the issue was cleared after a series of discussions.

“Doss knew from the beginning that it was an original script. But it was too much of a hassle to go through, amidst the busy post-production of the film. After reviewing both the scripts, the claim was rubbished and it has been re-stated that Dora is an original script,” shares a source.
