One of the most popular actors of Telugu cinema, Brahmanandam underwent an emergency heart surgery on January 15 at a private hospital in Mumbai. “After the top comedian suffered a stroke on Monday night, family members immediately rushed him to a local hospital and then shifted him to Mumbai,” says a source.
On Tuesday, he underwent a bypass surgery and his condition is described as stable. “He is still in the ICU but his condition is stable and there is nothing to worry,” says a source close to the actor, even as some Tollywood personalities are planning to go to Mumbai to see him.
Brahmanandam is one of the top comedians of Telugu cinema and has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records for the most screen credits for any living actor. However, of late, the actor is not doing many films as he is writing his autobiography.
