Director Jayanth C. Paranji’s upcoming film Ugram deals with the Mumbai underworld. The director is introducing a new actor, Nilesh Eti, as the lead in this film. “The story is about a suspended alcoholic cop who takes on the Mumbai underworld for the sake of a 9-year-old girl,” says a source.
The story starts in Hyderabad and moves to Mumbai, and so will be shot in both the cities. “The film exposes the underworld nexus with politicians and corrupt police officers in the multimillion dollar child trafficking racket,” adds the source.
Eshaan Entertainments from Vizag is launching their production house with this film. Mumbai-based model Izabel Leite will make her Telugu debut with this film that begins in March.
