Gautham Menon’s latest film Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo is doing well despite the crash crunch in the country. “We have only had a small impact, as most bookings for our film have been done online. The collections are good and it’s going strong,” says Gautham.
Praising Naga Chaitanya for his performance, he says, “He has now matured as an actor. When it came to acting, I didn’t advice him much, it was all natural.”
The director, who had earlier worked with Chaitanya in Ye Maaya Chesave says, “YMC was his second film and he needed advice back then. Now, he knows what the director wants and goes with the flow.”
Menon now wants to introduce Chaitanya to the Tamil film industry. “He speaks Tamil very well and I want to introduce him to the Tamil audiences with a film,” says Menon who will be directing Vikram in his next and also has a film with Suriya in the pipeline. “I would like to make a film in the four South Indian languages. However, that is still at the discussion stage,” he says.
