After impressing as Princess Noor Jahan in the blockbuster film ‘Sita Ramam’, Bollywood diva Mrunal Thakur is reportedly donning the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in her upcoming untitled film with reigning star Vijay Devarakonda. The much-hyped film is being directed by Parasuram who delivered the money-spinner 'Geeta Govindam’ and it is being produced by Dil Raju.
“Mrunal was finalized by the makers after exploring varied options since they wanted a pretty-looking girl who could carry the sophisticated and trendy role of CEO of a corporate company in the film. They took references of renowned female CEOs in India and designed her look,” says a source.
The actress who hails from Mumbai has brought in her team to help her in hair styling and power dressing since she wants to breathe life into the role. Such powerful roles seldom tap the door of Telugu actresses so she didn’t leave any stone unturned, adds the source.
The talented actress is also awaiting the release of her other Telugu film ‘Hi Nanna’ which triggered buzz around her lip locks with Nani in the trailer.
Being the flavor of the season, she is also in talks to romance Ravi Teja in his film with director Gopichand Mallineni."She will be romancing Ravi Teja and is on the verge of signing on the dotted line,” the source adds.
On the other hand, she is busy with Bollywood films like ‘Ankh Me Choli,’ ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ and ‘Pippa’. “She is good-looking and also a performer and this combination is going to fetch her more offers in Telugu. Mrunal is surely giving tough time to her rivals like Rashmika, Pooja Hedge, and Sreeleela in Telugu films by landing plum roles opposite big guns,” concludes the source.
