Tulasi pays respect to her guru

Interestingly, the entire show will be organised by an all women team and will be launched on June 20.

Actress Tulasi, who played one of the lead roles in Dada Saheb Phalke awardee K. Viswanath’s Sankarabharanam, has decided to pay an ode to the legend in the form of the Sankarabharanam Awards. She was also seen in his Seetha Mahalakshmi.

Interestingly, the entire show will be organised by an all women team and will be launched on June 20. The director has been an influential personality in her life and she explains that this award is just a gesture to thank him for the influence he has had on her life. “A director is the one who gives life to an actor. When you perform well, the guru is proud of his pupil. He expects nothing in return. So, this annual award for the very film industry that he is associated with is my small way of paying respects to my guru. I want all the actors who worked with him, to meet him, spend an evening with him, watching cultural activities together,” she shares.
