The teaser of Puri Jagannath’s iSmart Shankar released on the occasion of Ram Pothineni’s birthday on Wednesday. And from what we’ve gathered from the teaser, the movie presents Ram in an altogether different avatar from what his audiences have seen so far. Not very surprising, though, for Puri Jagannath is known for his extravagant portrayal of the leading personalities in his films.
Apart from his appearance, Ram is also seen rendering the Telangana accent in the film, thereby making his character extra catchy! The actor’s style as shown in the teaser has indeed set the audiences’ bar of expectations out of the movie quite high.
On a more serious note, though, the film is going to be yet another test for Puri Jagannath, whose previous films failed quite miserably at the box-office. In fact, iSmart Shankar happens to be the director’s first-ever collaboration with Ram Pothineni.
However, with Nidhi and Nabha Natesh in the female lead roles, we can safely look forward to quality performances in the film. And with buddy Charmme co-producing the movie, Puri is certainly not alone in his forthcoming venture.
