Keerthy Suresh rubbishes rumours about Jayalalithaa biopic
Actress Keerthy Suresh has dismissed reports published by a few Tamil newspapers stating that she will be part of a biopic based on the life of Jayalalithaa. “I am not acting in any such biopic. I am attending to my present commitments, and I have not signed any new films as yet,” she said.
When asked by a media person if she would portray the iconic actress Sridevi on screen, Keerthy simply flashed her beautiful smile and walked away.
The actress had garnered critical acclaim for her portrayal of the veteran actress Savitri in the biopic Mahanati, which has been released as Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil. The film has been a box office hit in both languages. Keerthy was spotted at Tirupati along with her grandmother Saroja, who features alongside Charuhaasan in the gangster film Dhadha 87.
The actress said that she was there to offer prayers of gratitude to Lord Venkateshwara for rendering Mahanati such a huge success.
“I am very happy and proud to have worked in Savitri-garu’s biopic. She was the reason I agreed to do the film.
I thank you for all your love and support.
I am here to offer prayers for the success of my movie,” Keerthy said.
