Crime 23, the Telugu-dubbed version of Tamil film Kuttram 23, has found a supporter in superstar Prabhas. Interestingly, the small-budget crime thriller, which made quite an impact on critics as well as audiences in Tamil Nadu, features Arun Vijay as the lead actor. Arun, notably, is the antagonist in Prabhas’ upcoming entertainer Saaho and he is also the son of yesteryear actors Manjula and Vijaya Kumar.
“In my film Eswar, I acted with Arun’s sister Sridevi, and now Arun is playing a negative role in my film. The trailer of his film is interesting and I hope Arun will do more films in Telugu,” says Prabhas, who took time off from his shoot to support Arun’s film.
Arun says his film is a medical thriller. “I’ve acted in two Telugu films so far and everyone has appreciated me. Now I am coming up with a different kind of film,” says the actor.
Crime 23 has been directed by Arivazhagan of Vaishali fame.
