Lavanya Tripathi, who was completely written off after her earlier films didn’t do well at the box-office, has bagged a big opportunity. The actress will soon be seen romancing Ravi Teja in an upcoming film directed by Santosh Srinivas.
Initially, the director was supposed to do the film with Pawan Kalyan, but he turned to Ravi Teja on account of the former’s hectic political schedules. Also, while Catherine Tresa was approached for the female lead, at the last minute, Lavanya Tripathi was roped in for the same.
“The director was looking for an actress who had not worked with Ravi Teja earlier, and so, roped in Lavanya,” says a source.
Interestingly, Lavanya was supposed to work with the actor in his earlier film Touch Chesi Choodu (directed by Vikram Sirikonda), but plans fell through. Now, the two are paired up in this upcoming project. Meanwhile, Ravi Teja’s film, directed by Kalyan Krishna will be releasing the first look and title on March 18, on the occasion of Ugadi.
