The first season of reality show Bigg Boss last year was a huge success on Telugu television, mainly on account of top actor Jr NTR who anchored the show and got a huge remuneration for it too.
The second season is supposed to start around July this year, but the news is that Jr NTR has decided not to continue with the show.
“The actor is committed to two films — one with Trivikram and the other with Rajamouli. Both start one after another without a gap. He also has a few family commitments, so he has no time to do the reality show, and hence opted out,” says a source, adding that he took the decision on Thursday after discussing it with his family members.
Jr NTR is presently on a rigorous fitness regimen for weight reduction. “The Trivikram film is going to start from March 23 onwards and the actor wants to be fit by that time. They have to complete the film by July end, because Rajamouli has asked Jr NTR for a month’s time to do homework before the shoot for his film commences,” adds the source. With such a busy schedule, Jr NTR told the makers of Bigg Boss that he can’t commit to the show this year. Now, the channel has to search for someone capable of filling the actor’s shoes.
