The project fell into trouble as the script and locations weren't finalised.

After delivered the successful Kanche, Varun Tej and director Krish were supposed to work for another project titled Rayabhari. But according to a source, the film has been put on the backburner.
The film’s shooting was supposed to start now but the script work and location search are not complete yet, so both Krish and Varun decided to postpone it.
“They discussed the possibilities of the project and then decided to shelve it.
They don’t want to start in a hurry and take a risk, so they decided to call off the entire project,” says the source.
Sources say that actor may now work with Venky Atluri which might be produced by Dil Raju.
