Aashish Raj made his debut with Akatayi, which did not live up to his expectations. But the actor, who has already proved his acting abilities, is quite optimistic about his next film, titled Ego, directed by Subramanyam.
“The film is set against a village backdrop and is a complete contrast to my debut film,” informs Aashish, who is working hard to get into his new character. “I have to speak the Godavari slang. So, it took me a few days to get a hang of the accent and now it’s easy,” shares the actor.
Talking about the title Ego, he says, “My character is friendly with everyone and is a fun-loving guy. But because of a past experience, he has an ego problem and the film shows what happens next.”
Produced by Vijay, Kaushal and Anil Karan, the film is slated for a year-end release. “It’s a feel good entertainer and unlike my first film, in this one the focus is more on family drama and emotions,” informs Aashish.
Simran from Mumbai is making her debut as a lead actress in this film.
