Adah Sharma to sway in style
Although actress Adah Sharma has done a handful of films in the South, she has never had the opportunity to showcase her dance moves. But in her forthcoming Tamil film, Charlie Chaplin, the audience will get to see the actress sway in style. And the Kshanam actress is thrilled with the opportunity to shake a leg with Prabhudheva himself.
“I am a trained classical dancer (Kathak), so dance moves come naturally to me. But I’m glad that I finally got an opportunity to jig, and that too with Prabhudheva who is the dance king,” she shares, adding, “It’s more fun to work with Prabhudheva and he’s great at doing cool things like improvising; he even advised me on a few things. What I learnt from him is that dance is not just about moves, but all about expressions like how he does.”
Adah, who was born to Tamil parents in Mumbai, is pleased to make her debut in Tamil finally.
“After moving to Mumbai, Hindi became my mother tongue. I can understand Tamil but can’t speak fluently,” she says. The Commando 2 actress will be seen as a college-goer in the comic caper. “I play a psychology student who’s quite crazy! It’s an interesting role and I’m happy that writers are penning such roles for me,” says Adah.
