Remember the cute kid ‘Aishu’ who played Suriya and Jyothika’s daughter in the hit film Sillunu Oru Kaadhal? A decade on, she’s all set to debut as a lead heroine in Telugu now!
Shriya Sharma did many films as a child artiste with Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn, Chiranjeevi, Rajanikanth and Mahesh Babu. Now, she has become a lead actress with Nirmala Convent. “I was in Hyderabad when I got a call from the production house. I immediately accepted the offer because I always wanted to do a teenage love story like the film Bobby and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak,” says Shriya.
She adds that this film is a big project as Nagarjuna is acting in and producing it — “I don’t have any scenes with Nagarjuna Sir in the film, but I did a promotional song with him. As a child artiste, it was always a great learning experience for me when I worked with legends. Now, as a lead actress, many will look at me and my performance.”
