Actress Chitra Shukla, who has been seen in Telugu films like Maa Abbayi and Rangula Ratnam, will next make an appearance in Silly Fellows. She has been paired opposite Naresh in the comic caper directed by Bheemaneni Srinivas Rao.

Talking about her role, Chitra says, “I play an honest cop in the film. I am someone who doesn’t tolerate any corrupt practices.” Her homework for the part included watching female-cop films. “I watched cop films starring Rekha and Tabu. I observed their body language and their behaviour, and that helped me perform better,” she says.

Describing him as a “director with clarity”, Chitra says that Bheemaneni knows how to extract the best performances from his actors. “I got to learn a lot, especially during the filming of comical scenes. Naresh has the ability to switch on and off in front of the camera, he’s a natural actor,” she says.
