Top director's have no time for late Dasari condolence meet

Most of the present day top directors were conspicuous by their absence at Dasari's condolence meet.

A few days back, the Telugu Film Directors Association held a condolence meet in memory of the late Dasari Narayana Rao in Hyderabad and one expected the present day top directors to be there. But to everyone’s surprise, they all gave it a miss even though it was Dasari who actually put them on top of the ladder.

Directors like S.S. Rajamouli, Trivikram, Boyapati Srinu, V.V. Vinayak, Harish Shankar, Puri Jagannadh, Srinu Vaitla, Sukumar, Maruthi, Krishna Vamsi and Krish were conspicuous by their absence.

According to a source from the association, they sent messages to every director. “A couple of directors who were working at the same place where the condolence meet was held also gave it a miss,” adds the source.

“Today, if a person from the film industry is honoured or passes away, the others just post their condolences on social media accounts. This is actually not a good practice but the present directors feel that it is enough,” says the source.

Meanwhile, old timers like Sagar, Relangi Narasimha Rao, Veera Shankar, Ravi Raja Pinisetty, Kadambari Kiran, Kasi Viswanath and others attended the meet and spoke about Dasari.
