A new short film The Decision starring Lakshmi Manchu, written and directed by Srinu Pandranki, is getting everyone talking. The 21-minute short film that was inspired by a real story, narrates the tale of a young woman who has to make a critical decision when she is about to give birth to a child.
It was apparently Lakshmi’s motherly instinct that pushed her to do the film and she shares that it was a wonderful experience.
“Doing such a film is challenging for an artiste as it is a role with multiple shades. As a mother, I really connected to the plot because it emotionally touched me and I hope every parent who watches the movie gets something out of it,” shares Lakshmi Manchu.
The film narrates the story of a woman who has suffered an abortion and when she later manages to conceive, she is told that her child is likely to suffer from Down Syndrome. The film revolves around the mother’s decision at that juncture. Produced by Vishwa Prasad, Anup Rubens has composed the score for the short film.
