Producer Nara Jayashree Devi passes away
She lived near Bangalore, made many Kannada films apart from few Telugu films.
Nara Jayashree Devi, who produced nearly 20 films that include the hit film Manjunatha passed away on Wednesday. She lived near Bangalore, made many Kannada films apart from few Telugu films. Her last film was Adi Shankaracharya, which was directed by popular writer Bharavi.
Her surname is Nara, but she’s not related to the AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, though she shares a close rapport with the family.
“Whenever Nandamuri Balakrishna visited Hindupur, he would meet Nara Jayashree at her farm for lunch or dinner,” says a source from the film industry. Jayashree’s daughter lives in Hyderabad.
