Chitra Shukla debuts in a B-wood music video
Chitra Shukla, who recently wrapped up shooting for her Telugu film Uniki, starred in her maiden Bollywood music video, titled Fursat. The actress, who was paired with Pawandeep Rajan, says the romantic number was shot in Mumbai.
Revealing the back-story, Chitra says she had got to know the music video director Raj Surani during her early days in showbiz. “When I was auditioning for films a few years ago, I happened to meet Raj,” she says, adding that the director recently approached her for the part.
“Since I am also into dance, Raj felt I would perfectly fit the character. I was excited by the opportunity since it was opposite Pawandeep Rajan,” Chitra adds.
Talking about her experience, she says, “It’s different from the regular songs in films, as they bring out our hidden side. Moreover, we will be doing a series of videos wherein each song has a story to tell.”
Fursat chronicles how a couple in love is unable to give time to each other, she shares. Talking about Uniki, in which she will be seen as an IAS officer, the actress says she was thrilled to play a civil servant. “It’s a challenging role because it’s one that people look up to. So I observed the body language of several bureaucrats to get into my part convincingly,” she shares.
