Regarded as one of the top distributors in Nizam and the owner of the multiplex chain Asian Cinemas, Sunil Narang has now stepped into production. For his first venture, he has chosen director Sekhar Kammula. The film was officially launched on Monday in a simple ceremony with the director and producer in attendance, along with a few of their friends.
The film, which will commence shooting in December, will see director Sekhar once again introducing a few new faces. Though Sunil has been a part of the industry from many years, this is his first attempt at production.
“He is now going to be a big competitor of Dil Raju, the other producer and distributor in Nizam,” says a source. Until now, Dil Raju had enjoyed prime position as the top producer in Nizam. “Once the film starts its shoot, Sunil is going to plan many other movies in the coming years, as he has already signed on a few directors,” says the source.
