Lakshmi Manchu Relocates to Mumbai

Lakshmi Manchu wrote on X (earlier twitter), “New City, New Era. Super grateful for this life (folded hands and heart emoticons) Thank you to all my fans for always supporting and believing in me.”

In a chit-chat, Lakshmi expressed her eagerness to embrace auditions and
explore production houses for diverse roles. Explaining her decision, she said, “I’ve never been a person who puts something in the pipeline and goes after
it. I’m someone who flies and then finds what is there for me.”

She continued, “You cannot keep making decisions in your life saying if this
happens, then I’ll happen. You got to feel it. You got to move it. You got to
make it happen. No, I don’t have anything as yet. Nothing. Not a movie, not a show that made me move. But just wanting, you know, a better, more open life.”

Regarding her family’s reaction to her move, she explained, “I kept saying I feel
like I need to go back to LA. I am getting bored here. What is there to do here? I don’t wanna be here, you know. And then my mom freaked out when I said LA, and then slowly when I said ‘how about Mumbai?’ I think that landed softer, so I
had to play my game to be here, and my mom’s still very nervous.”

She also mentioned the challenges she’s facing, like, “Who’s cooking? Who’s sending? In Hyderabad the support system is different. I can drop my daughter off at my brother’s house, with my mom, or vice versa. These are new challenges.

And what is life without challenges?” She further shared, “My daughter started school a couple of months ago, and we are both enjoying the experience. I have been travelling quite extensively, but yeah, I am now here settled, and I guess it
was the right time, you know, for people to know. I am here because I didn’t want to make an announcement when I was still doing principal shooting in Hyderabad, and now I will go back and forth, but I am here.”
