Glam diva Kajal Aggarwal went in for a makeover to don khakis for the first time in her career and all set to showcase her fiery side in a subtle but impactful manner in her upcoming female-oriented film ‘Satyabhama’. “She instantly gave her nod after one hour of our narration and it came as a pleasant surprise for us,” says producer Tikka Mohan, who felt that she would be right for this author-backed role.
“She has proved her mettle with bubbly lover girl roles and also performance-centric roles but she has turned into a fiery cop in our film. She went in for a complete makeover and is going to showcase her hitherto unknown shade on the big screen for her legion of fans,” he adds.
Justifying the title ‘Satyabhama’, which is inspired by mythological story of Lord Krishna and his wife Satyabhama, he says, “We are going to depict a new-age Satyabhama who is confident, fearless and also daring to take up challenges,” he adds. In fact, they are planning to unveil the gripping teaser on Diwali in November.
“There is a Diwali story in Hindu mythology, where Lord Krishna trounced demon king Narakasura. His wife Satyabhama also fought the battle along with him and brought peace to the region. We felt our teaser release would be perfect on this divine fete,” he points out.
On the work front, Kajal Aggarwal after sharing screen space with superstars like Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu is now carrying a film on her shoulders and trying her hand in a female-centric entertainer to be directed by Suman Chikkala, to enthrall her fans.
