Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, produced by his son Ram Charan also has his elder daughter Sushmita Konidela as the costume designer. The latest news about this film is that actress Catherine Tresa, who was supposed to do a special song in the film has been replaced. Reason? Well, allegedly, she had differences with Sushmita’s styling and when the latter complained to her dad and brother, Catherine was shown the door.
Sources confirm the actress had a fallout with Sushmita. “Catherine apparently argued with Sushmita regarding the costume. The actress also spoke to her in a “reckless manner,” says a source. Angered by this, Sushmita immediately informed her father and brother Ram Charan following which they told the actress to leave.
Though no details were officially divulged as to why she was replaced, Ram Charan’s manager confirmed the news. “Catherine is not doing the item song and we roped in Raai Laxmi now,” he said.
Catherine is no newbie; the actress is a popular face in the film industry and has worked in films such as Sarrainodu with Allu Arjun among others. The actress has now been replaced with Raai Laxmi, who is known for her item numbers and was recently seen in an item song in Pawan Kalyan’s Sardar Gabbar Singh.
