South is my favourite place to be: Scarlett Wilson

Brit model Scarlett Wilson is all set to make her comeback in south Indian cinema with a special song in the upcoming Rajasekhar-starrer Kalki.

After mesmerising her audience with her dance moves in Gayatri last year, Scarlett Wilson is now all set for a comeback. The Brit model and actress will soon be seen in a special song, Horn Pom Pom Ok Please, in the forthcoming Rajasekhar-starrer Kalki (directed by Prasanth Varma). Scarlett certainly had a ball while shooting for the number.

“I feel glad to be a part of Kalki in the foot-tapping number Horn Pom Pom OK Please. Rajasekhar and his daughters said they loved my work in the song Tinga Tinga from the film Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and asked me if I was willing to flaunt my moves in the special number. And I’m so glad they did because shooting for the number was a lovely experience, I had an excellent time grooving with Rajasekhar.”

Scarlett has so far featured in over a dozen special songs in south Indian and Hindi films. “I am super grateful for all the opportunities, the industry has been very kind to me. I believe the south Indian style suits me a lot better and is also quite unique.” Having made her debut with Shanghai in 2012, Scarlett says that her journey so far has been very satisfying.

“Filmmaker Vamsi Paidipally gave me my break in south Indian cinema with Yevadu, in which I featured in a special number. My journey thereafter has been fairly smooth, with one offer leading to another. I love the south, it’s my favourite place to be,” Scarlett concluded.
