Rumour has it that Tamil-Telugu actor Vishal will campaign for YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy in the upcoming elections. When asked to confirm or deny the rumours, the actor says. “I have known Jagan for a long time; he is a family friend. But I can’t say anything about campaigning for him. I am keenly watching the current political climate in Andhra Pradesh.”
When probed further, he adds, “I like Jagan as a person.” Enough to campaign for him, if asked to? “I will think about it,” he says. According to a source, Vishal is keen to campaign against Narendra Modi, and he waiting for the right opportunity. “It is believed that Jagan may form an alliance with the BJP in the upcoming elections. If he goes ahead with that plan, then Vishal may drop his idea of campaigning for Jagan,” the source says.
Vishal himself filed nomination papers for the RK Nagar seat some time ago, but his nomination was rejected by the Election Commission for technical reasons.
