Rumours regarding a likely marriage between actor Prabhas and actress Anushka Shetty have been doing the rounds for the past few days. The news about their alleged link-up has gone viral.
But sources close to the actor dismiss the reports as false. “Prabhas is not going to marry a person from the film industry. These rumours are spreading because both Prabhas and Anushka are unmarried. There is no truth to them,” says a close friend of Prabhas’. He adds that people have talked about a Prabhas-Anushka wedding in the past as well, and they have been wrong.
Another source reveals that the actor is all set for an arranged marriage. “His mother and uncle recently saw a girl from Bheemavaram whose father runs an educational institution. Talks are underway, and if the match is confirmed, it will be announced officially in some time,” the source says.
Other friends and Prabhas’ cousins also confirm that he is open to an arranged marriage. “He is in touch with Anushka, as he is with all his other film friends. There’s nothing more than a friendship there,” the source says.
