MB's book launched in UK

The launch of Dialogue Book at British House of Commons was the first event of this kind held at the British Parliament for a Telugu actor.

A book of Mohan Babu’s hit dialogues, titled Dialogue Book, was launched at the British House of Commons on May 11. The launch was hosted by MP Bob Blackman and saw over 500 enthusiastic invitees. Among the high profile individuals in attendance were Veerendra Sharma, MP, British Parliament and officials from the Indian High Commission.

Veteran actor Mohan Babu is known as “Dialogue King” and “Collection King” in the Telugu Film Industry and has acted in more than 650 films. The book was launched on the occasion of his completion of 40 years in the industry. Incidentally, this was the first event of this kind held in the British Parliament for a Telugu actor.

Before the event started, Mohan Babu presented exclusive paintings by Ramesh Gorjala to MPs Bob Blackman and Veerendra Sharma. The actor also read out a few dialogues from Dialogue Book, much to the audience’s delight.

The highlight, however, was Manchu Manoj, who imitated his father’s dialogues that left the audience in splits. Vishnu Manchu also requested his father to say a few dialogues from the film Pedarayudu, to which Mohan Babu obliged. Interestingly, Nandamuri Balakrishna has written the foreword of the book: “Everyone knows that my inspiration is my father. After my father, the only other person I look for inspiration, is Mohan Babu.” About a 1,000 copies have been printed of this limited edition book of which 200 were distributed among the dignitaries present at the event. On the occasion Vishnu Manchu announced that there would be a grant event held in Vizag in September, celebrating 40 years of Mohan Babu’s career.
