Many from the Telugu film fraternity fought in the recently concluded Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. While the Telugu TDP and YSRCP are confident about their victory, all eyes happen to be on Pawan Kalyan. The actor-turned-politician, founder of the Jana Sena party, contested from two Assembly constituencies, Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka, and the people of the state eagerly await the results of especially these two segments.
“While people are betting on who will form the next government, they’re also betting from which constituency Pawan will win,” said a source. Besides Pawan, Nandamuri Balakrishna too contested as an MLA for the second time, and so did Roja. Additionally, producers like M.V.V. Satyanarayana, Kodali Nani, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, and actress Madhavi Latha, are all in the fray, while many filmmakers have campaigned for various parties.
