Rajamouli playing safe with sweet tweets
We all know how a little praise goes a long way, especially in the world of cinema. But what does one make of tweets that are sugary sweet, praising the person to the sky, needlessly?
That’s what top director Rajamouli does. He reacts to almost every film in an diplomatic manner. He not only compliments the actor, but makes a personal mention of the film’s director, writer and the team at large.
This week, two of Tollywood’s biggest stars’ films have released. Chiranjeevi’s comeback Khaidi No 150 and Balakrishna’s period drama Gautamiputra Satakarni. Rajamouli didn’t have just one favourite — both the films were “awesome” for him. About Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, he tweeted, “Boss is Back!!! Chiranjeevi garu thanks for coming back...Congratulations Charan on a record breaking debut as a Producer...” (sic)
The very next day, he went on to say that Balakrishna’s film is simply superb. “Saaho Basavatarakaramaputhra BALAKRISHNA!!! I salute you sir for your potrayal of Satakarni that will make nandamuritarakaramaraogaru proud.
Anjanaputhra Krish the blessings of 12 crore telugus across the globe will be with you. How in the heavens could you make this epic in 79days? ...(sic) When Ram Charan’s Dhruva released a few weeks ago, he showered full praise too.
“My full appreciation to charan and surendarreddy for keeping the story infront instead of image which made Dhruva intresting and captivating from beg till end.” (sic).
When Jr NTR’s film Janata Garage released, he said he watched the film twice, creating an impression for his followers that the film is fantastic. Those who follow him on Twitter find it a bit of a joke that the director like him needlessly “raves” about every film. Sources say he is being clever. It’s best not to rub anyone the wrong way, especially in T’wood where actors cannot digest criticism.
