Hotshot star Rana Daggubati who is busy doing special roles in movies of superstar Rajinikanth and Dulquer Salmaa will be reportedly beginning his solo-hero film on December 14(his birthday) this week. “The big ticket film will be announced through various ads on December 14 and its shoot is expected to begin in two or three weeks thereafter,” says a source,
After delivering the blockbuster ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’, Rana Daggubati and director Teja are teaming up again for a swashbuckling period drama. "It will be a full-on action-adventure set in the 1920s in a region between Andhra-Madras borders. It would be a larger-than-life period adventure with loads of action and romance," adds the source. He further says, "Rana-Teja combination is bound to create ripples in the industry since their films are quite unpredictable and fascinating," he adds.
Director Teja has reportedly designed another author-back role for Rana and it will depict him in a new avatar. “He will be showcasing varied shades and it would be another challenging role for the scion of the Daggubati family,” the source adds.
Rana would also be hoping to reach out to North Indian viewers along with South Indian audiences to expand his fan base. "It has a universal theme and it could connect with a varied section of audience in different states," he concludes.
The film is being bankrolled by veteran producer Achanta Gopinath who made films like 'Top Hero' and 'Jamba Lakidi Pamba'.
