Anu Emmaneul grey role fails to get her offers?

Anu was hoping to comeback to Tollywood but couldn't make it as her latest film 'Japan' bombed in Telugu states

Pretty actress Anu Emmanuel played a grey role in her latest release ‘Japan’ and she even claimed in the film that she is a ‘characterless’ girl and advises his lover boy (Karthi) to stay away from her. “She hasn’t played such a dark character before and tried to prove her mettle. But offers from Telugu aren’t encouraging enough so far," says a source and adds, “Actresses try to do bold and glamorous roles to grab more offers but she wasn’t lucky enough as she failed to draw the attention of Telugu filmmakers,” he adds.

Although she has worked with big stars like Pawan Kalyan (Agnyathavasi), Allu Arjun (Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India", and with Naga Chaitanya in ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu", box office success has been eluding her. "She moved to Tamil and Malayalam movies to expand her fan base and extend her career,” he adds.

With her heist thriller ‘Japan' failing to set cash registers ringing in the two Telugu states, the Mallu girl has to wait for some more time to make a comeback in Tollywood. “With younger divas like Rashmika, Sreeleela, and Mrunal Thakur bagging plum offers with Telugu superstars, Anu has to bid her time before working with another big Telugu star,” he points out.

Anu Emmanuel who was hoping to regain her lost glory in Tollywood and pinned hopes on ‘Japan’ should be feeling disappointed for not being flooded with offers. "Even though heroines have no role to play in the box office success, they have to take the blame for no reason, " he concludes.
