Music composer Thaman maintains that the music is an integral part of the film and he is trying to produce tunes that will appeal to a global audience. “The whole objective is to bring out an international album and take the music to a global audience. While the original film (Lucifer) has only one song, we are trying to come up with four songs, powerful original soundtracks (OST) and moving background music (BGM) for this film,” he reveals, adding that they are planning to approach international artistes.
The buzz is that Britney Spears has been approached to sing the Salman-Chiru number. When we sound him out on that rumour, Thaman replies, “We are planning to pitch the idea to her, and the audio companies are looking into it and trying to close the deal with her. We are also trying to get a character in the song, but perhaps it’s premature to comment on that now.”
On a concluding note, Thaman says the plan is to make multiple versions of the tracks — English, Hindi and Telugu. “The songs will come like the bang and further elevate the film,” he asserts.
