She might have done only a handful of films so far, but Chitra Shukla believes that the genre was the deciding factor for her signing her next, a thriller, directed by Rajkumar Bobby.
“This is the first time I am doing a suspense and investigative thriller. So when I heard the script it naturally hooked me,” explains Chitra, adding that her character has multiple layers and that the racy screenplay keeps the audience on the edge of the seat.
“This is my first female-centric film; so that makes it even more exciting and special for me,” says the actress, who feels she’s lucky to get an opportunity to shoulder a film so early in her career.
The film, that also stars Ashish Gandhi, will commence shooting in Rajamahendravaram in December.
Chitra has also commenced shooting for a yet-to-be-titled film opposite Simha Koduri, ace composer Keeravani’s son. “When I heard the script from director Manikanth Gelli, it felt like I was destined to do the film,” she shares. Top director Rajamouli sounded the clapboard for the film which was launched recently.
