A master of visual graphics
Director Kodi Ramakrishna is probably the only director using visual effects extensively in Telugu films. He has previously directed films like Ammoru, Devi, Devullu, Devi Putrudu, Anji and Arundhati. He has now come up with another film titled Nagabharanam.
“Producer Sajid has good contacts in the Kannada film industry and that’s why I directed this film in Kannada. The film is now releasing in Telugu too,” says Kodi Ramakrishna.
Like his earlier films, the director is using visual graphics effectively in this film too. “We did an experiment in this film, where we brought the late Kannada superstar Vishnu Vardhan to life. His character will be there for 15 minutes and this is possible because of graphics,” says Kodi Ramakrishna.
“In fact, I wanted to work with Vishnu Vardhan as we both knew each other from a long time. I even narrated a story to him which he liked and had asked me to develop it further. I went to Bangkok, wrote the complete script and came back to India, but sadly, he passed away before I could meet him,” says Kodi about Vishnu Vardhan.
Talking about using graphics in movies, he says, “Graphics are always a time consuming process and everyone related to the film should know about it.” He adds that he never uses graphics just for the sake of it. “It gives thrill to the audience and also helps the character,” he says.
Ramya plays the main character in this film which is about a snake and the revenge she takes against the enemies.
