Kancharapalem going places
C/o Kancharapalem, which released last year, is still doing wonders. Even as the film’s been getting a lot of appreciation in India, it’s being screened in a few international film festivals. The film, which is selected for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Australia, will be shown in a special screening as a part of the film festival.
Directed by Maha Venkatesh, C/o Kancharapalem tells the story of a 50-year-old man and the romances in his younger life. Made with a small budget, the film’s story revolves around a place called Kancharapalem in Visakhapatnam. In fact, Maha Venkatesh had roped in many artistes from the place and even shot the film at Kancharapalem.
The film had had its world premiere at the New York Indian Film Festival. With it now heading to Melbourne, it seems the film is clearly going places.
