Akhil Akkineni badly needs a hit film. It’s for this reason that he decided to do a film by Venky Atluri, who debuted with Tholi Prema. While Akhil’s debut was a flop, his second film, though a good one, didn’t rake in the moolah. But according to sources, Akhil, who’s now in the U.K. for a schedule, and Venky aren’t getting along too well.
“There are small creative differences as Akhil is not leaving it entirely to the director. He expresses doubts over a few scenes, which irks the director. Now, the director has cancelled a couple of days of shooting,” says a source. Initially, both of them were happy with each other, but things have changed now. Says the source, “Akhil wants to shoot a second version of every scene and in the end, whichever is better, he wants to retain that. However, the director isn’t happy with that,” says the source.
Producer Bhogavalli Prasad’s son Bapineedu is now trying to patch up their differences.
